Mikel Arteta has claimed banished striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s situation is being decided ‘game by game’.

The Gabonese were again left out of Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Norwich City on Boxing Day.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker was stripped of the club captain armband earlier this month after being accused of a disciplinary breach.

And Arsenal have won all five of their matches in the absence of the 32-year-old who will soon depart to Cameroon for the African Cup of Nations with Gabon.

And Arteta has failed to give assurances that the player will ever played for Arsenal again under his reign.

“He wasn’t selected for today’s match,” Arteta said when asked about Aubameyang’s situation after Arsenal’s win over Norwich.

“We’ll take it game by game. That was the decision.”

Bukayo Saka scored twice and Kieran Tierney, Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith Rowe fired in one each to sealed Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Norwich.
