Wales call Jones in young squad

Gethin Jones said he ‘felt more Welsh’ than Australian

Everton defender Gethin Jones has been called into a young Wales squad despite interest from Australia, where he was born.

Jones, 21, is one of four new faces called into Chris Coleman’s 26-man squad for for the World Cup Qualifier against Serbia on June 11, with Gareth Bale ruled out due to suspension.

Tom Lockyer, Ethan Ampadu and Marley Watkins all receive first-time call-ups to the training camp.
