See Every Piece From Alexander Wang’s First Drop For Season 2 With Adidas Originals

Since announcing Season 2 with Adidas Originals earlier this week, Alexander Wang has released campaign imagery by Juergen Teller and product shots of the first drop from his coveted collaboration. A total of 27 unisex pieces will be available online and at select Adidas and Alexander Wang flagships on Saturday, Aug. 5. 

While Wang’s first collection with Adidas drew inspiration from soccer apparel and bootleg culture, this upcoming release fuses cycling and raving, while tapping into the fast-paced lifestyle of city bike messengers. Graphics and phrases, like “Alt Dimension,” are inspired by ’90s-era club flyers, adorning slim-fit cycling onesies, jersey tops, fitted shorts and leggings that come in neon orange, yellow and black. Hoodies and joggers are made from bleached French terry for a cool, comfortable fit — “the ultimate sweatsuit gone raver chic,” according to the press release’s notes.

The Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang collab’s first drop is also offering a brand new shoe style for Season 2. Called the “AW Hike Lo,” the low-top sneaker combines suede uppers and molded rubber outsoles with Adidas Boost tooling. Silicone dots make up the athletic brand’s signature three-stripe motif.

Those who will be in New York this weekend have the opportunity to shop the first drop early. Starting at noon on Saturday, July 29, campaign posters throughout Manhattan will feature Teller’s imagery, along with a special phone number and specific product codes on display. New Yorkers will get to purchase the items (using the codes) via a chatbot (through the phone number). If the poster you come across doesn’t have the product you specifically want to buy, then head on over to the collaboration’s main hub on the corner of Greenwich St. and Clarkson St., where a poster will have every single product code from Season 2’s first drop.
