Former Arsenal Star Kevin Campbell Predicts a Bright Future for Rice and Partey in the Champions League

In an exciting revelation ahead of Arsenal’s return to the Champions League this season, former Gunners attacker Kevin Campbell has shared his thoughts on the potential impact of Declan Rice and Thomas Partey. As Arsenal prepares to face off against Sevilla, PSV, and Lens in Group B, Campbell believes that both players will truly shine on the European stage, particularly if Partey is fit to feature.

Campbell, a respected football pundit, expressed his belief that Declan Rice is currently operating at only 60-65% of his talent. However, he emphasized that the young midfielder is still adapting to Arsenal’s system and has already displayed immense potential in the four games he has played so far this season.

“I truly believe Declan Rice, he is only working, at the moment, to about 60-65% capacity of his talent. I really do,” Campbell stated on The Highbury Squad podcast. “But he is learning how to play in this system. It is only four games, and he has been immense in all four games.”

Campbell went on to highlight Rice’s enormous potential, suggesting that his ceiling is yet to be reached. The former Arsenal star believes that when Thomas Partey is fully fit and playing alongside Rice in midfield, the duo will showcase their best performances in the Champions League.

“I just think his ceiling is massive. I will be brutally honest with you. When Thomas Partey is fit, and you got those two as a pivot, then you see the best of these guys in the Champions League,” Campbell exclaimed.

The anticipation surrounding Arsenal’s return to the Champions League has been steadily building, and fans are eager to witness the impact of their new signings on the grand European stage. Declan Rice, who joined Arsenal from West Ham United during the summer transfer window, has already made a strong impression with his performances in the Premier League.

Similarly, Thomas Partey, the Ghanaian international, has shown glimpses of his exceptional talent during his time at Arsenal. Unfortunately, injuries have hampered his progress, limiting his appearances for the Gunners. However, if Partey can regain full fitness, Campbell believes that the midfielder’s partnership with Rice will be a force to be reckoned with in the Champions League.

As Arsenal prepares to face PSV at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday, Mikel Arteta and his team will be hoping to make a strong start to their European campaign. With the potential midfield partnership of Rice and Partey looming, expectations are high for the Gunners to make a significant impact in the Champions League this season.

As the Champions League kicks off next week, all eyes will be on Arsenal and their dynamic midfield duo. If Rice and Partey can form a formidable partnership and live up to Campbell’s predictions, the Gunners could be on their way to a successful campaign in Europe’s premier club competition.
