Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy has told Erik ten Hag to sell Manchester United goalkeeper, David de Gea and replace him with a new goalie who would suit his playing style.
According to Murphy, De Gea needs to be replaced should Erik ten Hag want to play out from the back.
Two errors from the Spanish goalkeeper led to Brentford’s first and second goals in Manchester United’s 4-0 defeat on Saturday.
“The one thing about Manchester United that gets me is that it wants to play out from the back, I get it, right I get it, he [Ten Hag] wants to play football through the lines,” Danny Murphy said on Monday’s Game Night.
“But if you’re going to play out from the back you have to have a goalkeeper who’s capable of doing it, and he’s not [De Gea]”
