UFC Champion Israel Adesanya has spoken out about his recent breakup with ex-girlfriend Charlotte Powdrell, who has taken him to court over a portion of his assets. Adesanya, who recently won the middleweight championship, has insisted that his assets are protected, just like Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi.

Hakimi, who is in the middle of divorce proceedings with Spanish actress Hiba Abouk, transferred all his wealth to his mother, meaning Abouk would not be entitled to any of the footballer’s fortunes. Adesanya has followed in Hakimi’s footsteps and secured his assets, despite Powdrell’s claims that their relationship was long enough to warrant access to a portion of his assets.

Adesanya, who was born in Nigeria and is now 33 years old, took to Instagram to speak out about the situation. “Very relatable… Imagine being so fu*ken entitled that you think you deserve what a man has worked his whole life for,” he said in an Instagram story (as quoted by Essentially Sports). “When you came into his life with nothing and tried to leave with millions. But like Achraf Hakimi, my assets are protected. I woulda taken half her sh*t too but I don’t want half of NOTHING.”

The situation between Adesanya and Powdrell has been closely followed by fans and the media alike, with many wondering how the court case will play out. However, Adesanya’s insistence that his assets are protected has put an end to any speculation that Powdrell will be able to access a portion of his wealth.

Adesanya’s rise to fame has been nothing short of meteoric. He began his career as a kickboxer before transitioning to MMA in 2012. He quickly made a name for himself in the sport and was signed by the UFC in 2018. Since then, he has gone on to win the middleweight championship and has become one of the biggest stars in the sport.

Adesanya’s outspoken nature has also made him a fan favorite, with many applauding his willingness to speak his mind on a range of issues. His comments about his assets being protected have been met with widespread support from fans, who see it as a way for athletes to protect themselves from those who may try to take advantage of their success.

As for Powdrell, it remains to be seen what her next move will be. Adesanya’s comments have made it clear that he has no intention of giving her access to his assets, but she may still try to pursue legal action. Regardless of the outcome, Adesanya’s status as a champion and a role model to many in the MMA community remains secure.
