Christophe Galtier Reveals Condition for Lionel Messi’s Return to PSG

Paris Saint-Germain’s head coach, Christophe Galtier, has revealed the condition under which Lionel Messi would play for the club again after his suspension. The 35-year-old Argentine football superstar was banned for two weeks due to an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia, which will make him miss the upcoming games against Troyes on May 7 and Ajacco on May 13.

Speaking to the press ahead of their weekend fixture, Galtier addressed questions about Messi’s eventual return to the squad. The Parisian manager emphasized that the club would hold talks with the player and the entire team before reintegrating Messi back into the squad.

Galtier stated that discussions about the situation must go on before Messi can be reintegrated into the squad. He stressed that the player is the first person concerned about the matter, and it is essential to consider his perspective before making any decisions.

“Leo Messi returning after this suspension? We will see when Leo returns, we will see what will happen, obviously, there will be discussions with the entire club, but also with Leo who is the first concerned,” said Galtier.

Messi’s absence has come as a significant blow to PSG, as the team is currently in a tight race for the Ligue 1 title with Lille and Monaco. The Argentine superstar has been instrumental in PSG’s campaign this season, scoring 25 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions.

Messi joined PSG last summer after ending his 21-year association with Barcelona. The move was seen as a significant coup for the French club, which already boasted stars like Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. Since his arrival, Messi has formed a formidable attacking partnership with his former Barcelona teammate Neymar and Mbappe, which has helped PSG to the top of the Ligue 1 table.

However, Messi’s suspension has put a dent in PSG’s title aspirations. The club is currently one point behind Lille, who are at the top of the table, and two points ahead of Monaco. PSG has just four games left to play, and any slip-up could prove costly in the title race.

PSG’s next game is against mid-table side Rennes, and they will be hoping to secure a win to keep their title hopes alive. In Messi’s absence, Neymar and Mbappe will need to step up and deliver for the team. The Brazilian superstar, Neymar, has been in good form recently, scoring in PSG’s last two games, while Mbappe has been a constant threat to opposing defenses throughout the season.

As PSG enters the crucial stage of the season, they will be hoping to have Messi back as soon as possible. However, it remains to be seen if the talks between the player and the club will yield positive results. PSG fans will be keeping a close eye on the situation, hoping that their talismanic player can make a quick return to the team and help them secure the Ligue 1 title.
