In case you haven’t yet hopped aboard the Khalid bandwagon, the 19-year-old El Paso singer’s album American Teen is one of 2017’s most impressive debuts. “Young Dumb & Broke” is one of its many relatable jams about that exciting period of overlap between adolescence and full-blown adult life, and its easygoing bounce reminds me of Frank Ocean in one of his beachfront dazes.
