Hal Robson-Kanu has left Wales’ squad

Hal Robson-Kanu has become the latest forward to pull out of Wales’ squad for their World Cup Qualifier with Serbia.

Liverpool forward Ben Woodburn has already withdrawn due to a calf injury, leaving Chris Coleman with limited options for Sunday’s fixture at the Crvena Zvezda Stadium, live on Sky Sports 1 HD.

Swansea’s Daniel James, who has been representing Wales U20s at the Toulon Tournament this month, has been called up as a late replacement for Robson-Kanu.

West Bromwich Albion striker Robson-Kanu has a wealth of experience for Wales with four goals in 40 caps, the most important coming in the Euro 2016 quarter-final win over Belgium.

The 28-year-old has struggled to maintain a regular place in his club side this season tough, making just five Premier League starts under manager Tony Pulis.

Wales will take on Serbia without talisman Gareth Bale – who is suspended for the Belgrade qualifier – four points adrift of the Group D leaders.
