The singer was set to perform at the highly-anticipated ‘Something In The Water Concert’ in Virginia City alongside top stars like ASAP Rocky and Busta Rhymes.

In a statement released on Sunday night via her Instagram story, Ayra Starr revealed that her doctor had advised her to take immediate bed rest. She apologized to her fans in DC, VA, and Houston for her inability to attend the shows, while promising to make it up to them in a special way.

“I’m going through it. My doctor has advised me to slow down, hence I’m on immediate bed rest. So sorry I could not meet every one of you as planned. Also, I’m sorry you feel let down but I promise to be back in a special way for you when we will have a magical time. I appreciate your prayers and well wishes,” the statement read.

The news of Ayra Starr’s cancellation came as a shock to her fans who were eagerly anticipating her performance at the ‘Something In The Water Concert.’ Many took to social media to express their disappointment while wishing the singer a quick recovery.
