Nigeria news : Lagos govt confirms 74 new cases of Coronavirus and records two deaths

The Lagos State government has confirmed 74 new cases of Coronavirus in the State.

The State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi made the confirmation in a tweet via his Twitter account on Thursday, stating that the state recorded two deaths.

He wrote, ”#COVID-19 LAGOS update as at 22nd of April, 2020.

”74 new #COVID-19 cases confirmed in Lagos on the 22nd of April, 2020.

”Total number of confirmed #COVID-19 cases in Lagos rises to 512.

”Lagos recorded 2 more #COVID-19 related deaths.

”Total #COVID-19 Lagos deaths are now 18.”

Recall that the NCDC on Wednesday night confirmed that Nigeria recorded ninety-one new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number in the country to 873.

Out of the 91 new cases confirmed, Lagos recorded 74 cases.
