This weekend marks the comeback of the Premier League, with a whopping valuation exceeding 1.4 billion. Luton Town is determined to reverse their recent misfortunes after their defeat by Aston Villa, while Liverpool aims to continue their winning streak. The Reds have received a positive update in their team dynamics, with Luis Diaz rejoining the training sessions despite personal difficulties. The upcoming match holds significance as it marks the first meeting between these two teams since their FA Cup third-round clash in the 2007-08 season.

When, Where, and Who will officiate?

The match is set to take place at the Kenilworth Stadium at 10 PM on Sunday as Luton will look to try and get a point from a strong Liverpool side. Andy Madley is going to officiate in the match. Harry Lennard and Nick Hopton will be the assistant referees, while on VAR duty supported by Simon Long will be Craig Pawson. Anthony Taylor will be the fourth official which is surprisingly the only match he will be part of in the top flight this weekend.

For Luton, there will not be any significant changes from last week but the likes of Amari’i Bell, Reece Burke, Mads Andersen, Dan Potts, Luke Berry, and Jordan Clark are still not in contention for a match. Ex-Evertonian Townsend might make the team after coming off the bench in the last two matches.

Liverpool will be without Luis Diaz and the likes of Thiago, Bajcetic, Robertson, Bradley, and Doak are yet to come back to full fitness. Mohamed Salah played the full match in the EFL Cup in the midweek and might not play in the starting XI while Gravenberch can start alongside new signings Mac Allister and Szoboszlai.

Fluminese player Andre has recently talked about his links to the Reds as a potential winter transfer looms over the horizon with Fluminese facing Boca Juniors in the final of the Copa Libertadores this weekend. Darwin Nunez is set to start after his hot run of form alongside Gakpo and Jota. Virgil Van Dijk will be back to captain this Liverpool side after Trent Alexander Arnold took charge in the EFL fixture.

Rob Edwards’ team is currently in the drop zone and would be looking for a decent draw from their upcoming match while Liverpool would like to remove their bad away form from last season by registering a win and keeping the momentum going,

Liverpool will not look forward to an easy win against this Luton as this season many have found it hard to break down Luton’s defense. Fans of either team will need to sit back and watch what unfolds in the upcoming match. Also according to reports, before the game, a 1 minute of silence is to be observed.
