Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has raised the eyebrows of football fans and experts alike, with former Napoli and Udinese star Roberto Sosa saying that the player is worth more than his current price tag. At just 23 years old, Osimhen is already being compared to top-tier football stars, including Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema, and Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski.

This season, Osimhen helped lead Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years, with 23 goals in 30 matches, putting him at the top of the Serie A goalscoring charts. The striker also impressed in the UEFA Champions League with five goals in six games. These performances have caught the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs, and Sosa believes it would take more than €140 million to buy Osimhen from Napoli.

“Together with Lautaro, he’s the striker of the moment. I’m sorry not to include Vlahovic in this list. The Serbian is penalized by his coach’s play,” Sosa said to Sportitalia. “If Osimhen had played for Juve, his performances would not have been different from those of Dusan. That said, the Nigerian is now at the level of forwards like Haaland, Benzema, and Lewandoski. So, at the moment, 140 million could be too few!”

Osimhen’s performances have not gone unnoticed by football fans around the world, and many believe he could become one of the world’s best strikers if he continues to develop at this rate. The Nigerian star’s incredible speed, agility, and precision in front of the goal have made him an indispensable player for Napoli and a hot commodity for other top European clubs.

Despite his talent, Osimhen has had a tumultuous career so far, with injuries and time away from the game due to the COVID-19 pandemic hindering his progress. However, the Nigerian star has shown incredible resilience and determination by bouncing back each time and proving his worth on the pitch.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Osimhen’s future is uncertain, with many clubs vying for his signature. However, Napoli is unlikely to let their star striker go without a fight, and it remains to be seen if any club is willing to meet his hefty price tag.
