Common has been understood to be hip-hop royalty; like compatriot Black Thought, a revered lyricist among all camps. Intelligent, introspective, and capable of going toe to toe with John Wick. It’s not surprising that his career has lasted well over two decades. Nowadays the rapper seems content to run things on the Hollywood side, but the man must continue to fulfill his destiny. Today, Common has teamed up with his August Greene group-mates Karriem Riggins & Robert Glasper to deliver the smooth cut “Black Kennedy.”
