Congratulations are in order for The Walking Dead‘s Tom Payne!
During his Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, appearance on Talking Dead, the actor revealed that he and his longtime girlfriend, Swedish model Jennifer Akerman, are engaged, E! News reports.
While discussing a major spoiler about the hit AMC series’ midseason finale with host Chris Hardwick — namely, his character Jesus’ shocking exit during this weekend’s episode, Payne casually said, “I got the call like an episode before and I was texting my girlfriend, now fiancée.” In response, Hardwick offered his “congratulations!”
According to People magazine, Payne, 35, and Akerman, 29, have been together since 2013. At the time of this writing, further details surrounding the happy couple’s engagement have yet to be revealed. However, the TV star recently shared a sweet snapshot of the longtime loves on Instagram. “Thankful today for the path my life has taken up till now and all the people that have helped and supported me along the way,” he wrote alongside the photo on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22. “Especially the special lady peeking out from behind me in the photo! America has given me a lot. I’m doing my best to return the love. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!”

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski tied the knot on Saturday, Nov. 24 during an intimate ceremony held at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. As Brzezinski told Vanity Fair, “We wanted it to be really small and simple and not what you expected from Mika and Joe. Everything we do is exposed, and everything felt exposed every step of the way, so we want this to be private until it’s over. We wanted to recognize it more quietly and have the people who are most important to us around us.”
Meanwhile, singer Miguel is reportedly set to marry his high school sweetheart, model Nazanin Mandi. According to a source cited by TMZ, the longtime couple were spotted picking up a marriage license at a Los Angeles courthouse earlier this month, where their friends “[cheered] them on with words of encouragement and a big group hug.”
