Calling all couples that L-O-V-E San Francisco! Jessie + Benjamin described their wedding as being “hyper-local” and they were proud to highlight so much of the talent in the city. Falling on their five year anniversary, the two wanted to say I do with a small ceremony, while still having the party of a lifetime. To do this, Buzzworthy Events SF planned their ceremony for a Friday night, with the rockin’ reception the following evening.
They share That way we got everything we wanted and nothing would feel rushed, we would have plenty of time for family and friends, and our out of town guests could get to explore our beautiful city. Jessie’s love on all things indigo + shibori dyed came through in the color palette. The duo incorporated heath ceramics into the decor (which ultimately became gifts for their guests), and the lush surroundings of Stable Cafe set the stage for the “urban garden”. The reception on Saturday evening was an amalgamation of all of their favorite things: Mid-Century furniture, mini pies + donuts, Skee Ball (Ben in a former champ), lots of dancing, and Star Trek.
Let’s take a look at how it all came together in the photos capture by Britt Rene Photo, shall we?
Anemones galore! Amanda Vidmar Designs crafted this green + white bouquet with cascading greenery.

Recessional: You Make My Dreams Come True by Hall & Oates
First Dance: Lovin’ You Baby by Charles Bradley
I would say our families probably provided the most standout moments. Benjamin’s mom literally printed out pictures from Facebook to use as visual aids for her speech then went around to each table to make sure everyone got to see them up close. Dancing with my dad to the Flaming Lips, “Do You Realize” for our Father/Daughter dance was also incredibly special. What I remember most was the end of the evening at Stable, only about 10 or so close friends sitting around a table in the courtyard finishing off the last bottles of the wine, while the vendors were tearing down. It was the exact vibe we wanted — a relaxed San Francisco evening spent outside amongst people we love.
Fresh, fun, and ultra-cool — we’re loving the shibori dyed tablerunner, mixed with the gold accents + ceramics.
As for Bluxome, that whole night was essentially a whirlwind but I remember being so happy to finally change out of my dress and into my jumpsuit! And I still remember Benjamin getting choked up during our thank you speech/champagne toast — everyone got misty eyed!
Skee Ball, Star Trek, and a killer place for a reception. How cool is that lighting?!
Two things. #1 TRUST YOUR VENDORS! We knew we had an absolutely amazing team of talent going into our big wedding weekend and I attribute our trust in their abilities and understanding of our vibe as the biggest reason why our wedding was such a success. Benjamin and I both felt very calm and taken care of throughout the whole weekend. We were is great hands!! #2 It can really feel during the wedding planning process like things are starting to snowball beyond your control — budgets, guest lists, expectations, etc. Benjamin and I had several moments where we had to step back and say, “This will be a CHILL wedding,” and just kind of recalibrate our focus. Remember that it’s your day and it doesn’t have to look or be a certain way to be perfect, it just has to make you both happy!
So elegant, refined + cool. Congrats Jessie + Benjamin! (And happy fifth anniversary!)
