2019 elections

A coalition of pro-Biafra groups known as Awake and Defend Action Movement (ADAM), which also includes the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), says it is mobilizing to counter possible violence in the South-east during the general elections.

This is coming just hours after IPOB rescinded its call on members to boycott the 2019 elections. The group called on the people of South-east and parts of South-south zones to participate actively in forthcoming general elections and not involve themselves in violence to avoid killing of innocent souls.

The group comprising Niger Delta Youth group, IPOB, MASSOB, MASSOP, Biafra Reformation Movement, Baifra Christian Secrete Movement and Ndigbo Lion Watchman among others, in their resolution after a meeting in Onitsha, demanded the restructuring of Nigeria where every citizen and states have equal rights.

The resolution signed by Ndubuisi Igwekani (Agu Biafra) and Chief James Ekpo on behalf of others, said that despite all the evil plans towards the people of the region, it would no longer fold its hands and watch them decimate the land, saying it has resolved to eliminate all threats and actions against the people of the region.

It read: “we are calling on all Easterners, especially the youths to actively participate in the election according to their conscience, knowing fully well those who have performed in the past or those who have the potentials to perform according to the trust of the people as in presidential election”

“We advised our people based on the failure of Buhari administration in fight terrorist both Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen that have massacred thousands of innocent Christians in Northern Nigeria.

“It is time for change. We advise our people to vote for change and that change is Atiku Abubkar. Let all members mobilize themselves do this change. 2019 is the last chance for Nigeria as a nation of they fail to use this opportunity wisely, Biafra is our plan B.

“ADAM will not tolerate or accept any further attack on any Easterner by any group of people, whether Nigerian Police, Nigerian Military, Fulani herdsmen, Boko Haram and ready retaliate with appropriate measure and force.”
