In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at BravoCon, reality TV star Paige DeSorbo, 30, shared her thoughts on Captain Lee Rosbach’s recent theory regarding the breakup of Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard on Summer House. Describing Lee’s comments as “out of pocket,” Paige dismissed the captain’s hypothesis and found humor in his perspective.
Captain Lee, 73, who gained fame as part of the Below Deck series, expressed his belief that Kyle Cooke, 41, played a role in the demise of Carl and Lindsay’s relationship. Speaking on his podcast, “Salty With Captain Lee,” Lee pointed to instances where Kyle spoke negatively about Lindsay while she was dating his best friend. He questioned how Carl remained composed and did not confront Kyle during these incidents.

Carl, 38, and Lindsay, 37, had been engaged since August 2022 and were set to tie the knot in Mexico. However, the couple’s plans changed, and Carl informed producers of their split, leading to adjustments in the upcoming season 8 of Summer House.
Kyle surprised fans when he revealed that he was not surprised by the breakup. Despite acknowledging the cracks in their relationship, he had hoped they would overcome their issues. Kyle’s close involvement with Carl and Lindsay’s relationship during the filming of season 8 gave him a front-row seat to their ups and downs. He expressed his desire for them to continue sharing a summer house, emphasizing the importance of their friendship.
Captain Lee strongly disagreed with Kyle’s perspective, criticizing him for badmouthing Lindsay and questioning his loyalty as Carl’s best friend. Lee expressed sympathy for both Carl and Lindsay and urged people not to speculate without knowing the full story. He found it difficult to understand how Kyle and Carl managed to maintain their friendship amidst the turmoil.

Paige, however, took a different stance and defended Kyle’s role in the situation. She argued that Carl, like anyone else, confided in his best friend and received advice accordingly. Paige drew a parallel between Carl’s conversations with Kyle and her own discussions with Kyle’s wife, Amanda Batula. She believed that if Kyle’s influence could lead to the breakup of a couple, then their relationship may not have been strong enough from the start.
Paige assured Summer House viewers that they would witness the events that led to Carl’s decision to end the relationship. She emphasized that these events occurred two months ago and that viewers would gain a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics between the couples and their interactions with one another.
