Recall that the Federal government through the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy had recently called on State Governors to adhere to the Right of Way charges as agreed upon by the National Economic Council (NEC) in 2013.

In a statement signed and made available to DAILY POST by Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, the FG had frowned on the decision by some State Governors to increase the charges.

Pantani equally noted that the move by some of these State Governors will no doubt impact negatively on the efforts being made by the Federal Government.

The Minister called on all State Governors to reconsider their decisions in the interest of Nigerians as well as for the socio-economic growth and development of the country.

No details yet on the outcome of their meeting.
