It all started with the idea of a road trip, a 4th of July road trip that is! The story was that the couple planned to elope…only they didn’t know where, but as long as they had each other it would be okay. Event designer, Mountaing to the Sea CO, and planner + florist, Willow and Plum, imagined the couple would weave their way through Big Sur, exploring the redwoods, and ultimately end up at the ocean. With a palette of red, white, and blue, along with a little bit of gold, this styled shoot turned into pure magic.

For the ultimate textural bouquet, florist Willow and Plum combined bougainvillea with red powder-puffs, an an assortment of dark foliage.
One of the coolest things about Big Sur is how close the forest is to the beach… And they definitely took advantage of that for this styled shoot!

Carol Olivia, the photographer, shares We imagined this whole road trip happened on the 4th of July… So we had to incorporate a custom denim jacket with calligraphy by Altogether Lovely Shop for the bride, tons of red, white, and blue, and little pops of sparkles.
