Jane Lynch Talks About Love and Life with Partner Jennifer Cheyne

Actress Jane Lynch has opened up about her love life with partner Jennifer Cheyne in a recent interview. The couple, who had been partners for a few years in the early 2000s, reconnected a decade later in the mid-2010s and have been together ever since. Lynch, who is best known for her role in the hit TV show “Glee”, revealed that finding love in her 50s has been a blessing.

Speaking to Parade in November 2019, Lynch explained that she and Cheyne had grown past some of their previous clashing traits during their time apart. “We’re very different people now — we don’t have the same insecurities we used to have,” she said. “We live very peacefully.”

Lynch went on to describe how Cheyne makes her life easier, saying, “She figures out how to deal with [everything]. She’s like, ‘I don’t need to hire a handyman.'” Despite not having any children, the couple’s home is filled with furry companions. “We’ve had many dogs — cause we adopt seniors and we only get to keep them for a few years,” Lynch revealed on “The Tonight Show” in 2021.

Lynch’s decision not to have children was a conscious one. “I knew I wasn’t going to have kids,” she explained. But that doesn’t mean her home is any less filled with love. Lynch and Cheyne are committed to giving senior dogs a loving home in their later years.

The couple’s love story is proof that sometimes, it’s not about finding the right person at the right time, but rather about finding the right person at the right time in your life. While the couple may not have children, they have each other and their furry family members. “Finding love in my 50s has been a blessing,” Lynch reiterated. And with Cheyne by her side, Lynch’s life is undoubtedly filled with even more joy and laughter.
