Taking to Facebook to express her grief, Lisa revealed that Angus had recently been reorganizing his room and making plans to contribute to his family’s well-being. She shared, “He was placing items around the house with intent to stay a while in the home he loved. He spoke of his intent to help provide for his sisters at college, and also help his mom emotionally and financially.”

Following the revelation that Angus passed away from an accidental overdose, Lisa opened up to People magazine about the circumstances surrounding his death. She disclosed that it was primarily central nervous system depressants that led to Angus’s passing, as they slowed his heart and breathing. “He got tired from lack of oxygen. Everything just slowed down, and eventually his heart stopped and he went to sleep. But he didn’t kill himself,” she revealed.
Describing the heartbreaking moment when she found her son unconscious, Lisa recounted how she tried desperately to save him. “I started shaking him and screaming. I pushed him hard, and he fell on the floor. I tried to resuscitate him — mouth to mouth — and I was compressing him,” she recalled. Despite her efforts and the prompt arrival of emergency services, it was tragically too late to save Angus.
