“We wanted the day to reflect not only our love for each other, but the little personal details that make our relationship so unique.” That, my friends, is what GWS is all about! Weddings are a celebration of love, of two people coming together — and to be able to highlight the personality of their relationship is one of the most beautiful things! For Nicole + Jen, they wanted to make sure each + every detail of their big day was a reflection of their unique and differing styles. To do this, they brought enchanting bohemian-inspired vibes to Vinewood Plantation…
Nicole shares We wrote our own vows, but we also included an excerpt from Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet that my parents used in their wedding vows. My best friend’s husband officiated our ceremony, which was extra special! From the song choices, to each and every flower, we spent the whole year leading up to our day picking out all the details together. We have different personal styles, but everyone commented how our wedding was a reflection of both of our unique personalities!
Let’s see all the ethereal photos from the day, captured by Darling Juliet!
How darling are their matching flannels?!
A collection of wildflowers, a king protea, anemones, ranunculus, + more. Isn’t the medley of colors in this bouquet by Forage and Flower incredible?
Hello beaded embroidery!! Major dress envy over here for these stunning BHLDN gowns!
Who else LOVES the trend of having all the ladies in white? We certainly do!

Processional: To God Only Knows by The Beach Boys + She Lit a Fire by Lord Huron + To Ends of the Earth by Lord Huron
Recessional: All You Need is Love by The Beatles
First Dance: Something by The Beatles
Gosh, there were so many that stand out in my mind. There is one moment in particular that I always revisit — after our bridal portraits were complete, Jen and I sat under the pecan tree where we had just exchanged our vows. The cocktail hour was in full swing, and we sat together in the only few moments of stillness and togetherness. We watched from afar as our friends and family laughing were enjoying moments together. We couldn’t hear the music, only the birds singing. The sun was setting and I remember thinking what a perfect day it was.
I know everyone says it, but stay true to your vision of your day. It’s about you and your partner, and you want the day to be a reflection of you both! Don’t stress over the small stuff. Your day will be perfect no matter what, and you will not notice if the color of a flower is the wrong one, trust me! Try to be present not only throughout the day itself, but the moments leading up to your wedding day. The planning process is super fun, and it goes by quickly, so soak it all in.
Simple, rustic, and totally chic — the escort cards were fashioned from clear vases and a collection of pretty flowers.
What better way to dress up the dining room than with macramé + florals? And that gorgeous wall hang makes for a perfect piece in the home after the wedding + reminder of the big day. (WIN WIN!)
From the team at GWS, congrats x 1000!
