Christopher Kane Drop Tea Cup Earrings, $195, available at The Webster.

All summer long, I was hooked on hoop earrings, but I’m now bored with my lobes as they’re overdue for some new jewelry. So when I came across these matching rose-painted teapot and teacup drop earrings by Christopher Kane, I knew my ears had found their newest partners in (teatime) crime. As someone who speaks openly about my love for the chamomile-infused beverage, these tea set danglers — though not nearly large enough to contain even one drop of herbal tea — satiate my statement earring thirst, which has been kicked into overdrive thanks to the runway trend toward large and brightly colored baubles.

I do, however, harbor some mixed feelings about some of Christopher Kane’s other recent accessories — namely those marbled, gem-encrusted Crocs he sent down the runway over the last two seasons. But questionable footwear aside, the London-based label redeemed itself in my eyes with these earrings that look as if they were plucked from Queen Elizabeth’s tea set. In short, I will definitely be tying my hair back for maximum exposure of these beauties come sweater season.
