There was something about Beyoncé’s 2014 song “Flawless” that rubbed fellow R&B singer Keyshia Cole the wrong way, namely the lyrics “bow down, b****es.” After its release, Cole tweeted, “Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk s*** when convenient 2 [f*** out of here].” In a follow-up tweet, she added, “First ‘Women need to Stick together’ now b****es better Bow. Smh.”

Not only did the Beyhive go after Cole for the tweets, as reported by E! News, but she also got some blowback from one of Bey’s closest friends: famed R&B singer and producer The Dream. When asked on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club if he would work with the “Love” singer in the future, he replied, “Right now because of what happened, I can’t. I think she would respect why I can’t. That’s my family” (via MTV News).

Did he choose to end his working relationship with Cole for his own reasons, or was it because of external factors, like say, the urging of Beyoncé, his “family?” You decide.
