Celebrity comedians Bill Hader and Ali Wong reportedly had a brief romantic relationship in 2022, according to insider sources. The two were said to have begun dating at least two months before December of that year but had already ended their fling by the end of 2022. Despite the breakup, the source said that the split was amicable and that the two remained friends, despite their busy schedules.
Wong’s divorce from entrepreneur Justin Hakuta was still ongoing when she and Hader began dating. According to Page Six, only a select group of high-profile comedians knew about their relationship, as the two tried to keep their fling a secret.
In April 2022, Wong and Hakuta ended their eight-year marriage, but the split was amicable, with the couple continuing to co-parent their two daughters, Mari and Nikki. Hakuta even accompanied Wong on her comedy tour as her tour manager, according to a March 2023 appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
During her appearance on the show, Wong expressed her appreciation for her ex-husband’s continued support and friendship. She called Hakuta her “really good friend,” and noted that he had served as her tour manager on her previous comedy tour and would do so again in the future.

The news of Hader and Wong’s brief relationship came as a surprise to many fans, as the two had not been previously linked romantically. Hader is known for his work on “Saturday Night Live” and in films such as “Trainwreck” and “It Chapter Two,” while Wong has made a name for herself as a stand-up comedian and actress, with credits including “Always Be My Maybe” and “Birds of Prey.”
Despite the short-lived nature of their fling, Hader and Wong are said to have remained on good terms, with their friendship continuing after their breakup.
