5 Things I’ve Been Loving Lately: Senita Athletics, Tarte Rose Gold Blush & Glow, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under-Eye Concealer, The Good Place, and an Epic Egg Salad Sandwich

1. Senita Athletics workout wear

I took this pic last night from “That ’70s Bathroom,” which is my nickname for our guest bathroom, because everything in it is straight outta the ’70s.

Note the adorable sports bra and shorts.

Well…at least I think they’re cute.

They’re from Senita Athletics, which I found out about from Abbey, who suggested that I look into them in the comments on a post where I mentioned that I was looking for a new pair of workout shorts for my HIIT class.

I’m wearing them here. They’re the Swift Shorts 2 in the Bahamas print. I’m also wearing the matching Sarah Sports Bra and the Boyfriend Muscle Tee.

I love, LOVE Senita’s clothes and their prices, which are way better than Lululemon and Zella.

I’ve washed these items a bunch of times (mind you, I’ve only had them about a month), put them in the dryer on low, and they haven’t faded, unraveled or stretched out. I think they’ll hold up well.

And, best thing ever, they have pockets everywhere. There’s a pocket on the back of the bra, hidden pockets in the shorts — seriously, there are SO MANY POCKETS. It’s glorious.

2. Tarte Blush and Glow Blush & Highlighter in Rose Gold

One side of this split pan blush/highlighter combo from Tarte’s fall collection is a sheer matte rosy brown, and the other side is a rose gold shimmer. The powders aren’t as pigmented as the powders in the Amazonian Clay Blushes, but I’m totally fine with that, because there are days when I just want a little bit of cheek color.

Also, the highlighter is seductively subtle.

It goes with any and all nude pinkish brown lippies I’ve tried. Check it out with Hourglass Girl Lip Stylo in Believer.

3. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under-Eye Concealer Pot

Rock my world, why don’t you, It Cosmetics?! They released this new potted under-eye concealer in their fall collection, and it’s ridiculously good.

Bye Bye Under-Eye Concealer Pot is 1) full coverage, 2) it doesn’t settle into my fine lines, and 3) it lasts all day long.

It comes in six shades, all with peachy undertones, to correct and hide dark circles.

It’s very similar to MAC’s fantastic Matchmaster Concealer, which has been my jam all summer.

4. The Good Place

My friend Gloria mentioned this show on Facebook, and I started watching it last weekend.

It’s HILARIOUS. Thank you for the rec, Gloria!

Veronica Mars, a.k.a. Kristen Bell (who is perfectly cast in the role), plays a lady who passes away and gets sent to “Heaven,” or something sort of like it. They just call it “The Good Place.”

It’s a construct designed to be like the perfect neighborhood. When you show up there, you get a soulmate, your dream house… There are frozen yogurt shops on every corner. It’s dope!

Of course, things go awry when Kristen Bell’s character shows up there…

Every time I watch the show, I laugh out loud! It’s really silly (but smart). Check it out. It’s streaming on Netflix right now.

5. Avocado egg salad toast

avocado egg salad toastYUMMY!

Oh, my gosh, this egg salad toast is… Why am I always talking about egg salad??

It’s so good, though! This is the latest version I’m hooked on. Just finely chop or mush the following, and mix everything together in a bowl.

You’ll need…

2 hard-boiled eggs
1 avocado
1 small Persian cucumber (you can substitute celery or any other crunchy vegetable that you like)
1-2 green onions
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard (I like the kind with the little grains)
A dash of salt and pepper

Spread the mix on a piece of toast, then top with chopped tomato. And then take a pic “for the ‘Gram,” because, you know, unless you post it on Instagram, it never happened…

Just had it for lunch again today. YUM!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen
