SKIMS retail expansion gives a more concrete view of Kim Kardashian’s business interests than a celebrity wealth estimate alone. The brand’s London flagship and the wider NikeSKIMS product range bring stores, distribution and repeat purchases into focus. These developments follow a November 2025 funding announcement that valued the company at $5 billion, a figure that describes the business rather than cash held by one founder.

The distinction matters as new products and new locations extend the brand beyond its original online audience. Nike’s January 2026 announcement introduced a Spring collection combining apparel, accessories and footwear, with launches in additional international markets. A larger product offering is an observable business development. How much profit it produces, and what an individual shareholder can realise from it, are separate questions.

Our Kim Kardashian biography gives the broader career background. This closer look follows a narrower subject: the operating company, its retail plans and the limits of the figures available publicly. Keeping those subjects separate helps explain why a new store opening and a personal net-worth headline do not measure the same thing.

What the funding announcement establishes

Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s November 12, 2025 release recorded a $225 million capital raise at a $5 billion valuation. Goldman Sachs Alternatives led the round, with participation from affiliated funds of BDT & MSD Partners. The announcement identified physical retail, international expansion, product innovation and additional categories as uses for the investment.

At that point, the release counted 18 company-owned US stores and two franchise locations in Mexico. Those are dated figures from the funding announcement, rather than a current worldwide store count. It also described a plan for the company to become predominantly physical over the following years. A stated plan supplies a direction; later results are needed to show how far it has been achieved.

The same release expected net sales to exceed $1 billion in 2025. That was a forecast when published, not an audited result supplied in the announcement. Sales also represent a different measure from profit. Producing garments, handling deliveries and returns, operating stores and running campaigns all involve costs that a sales headline by itself does not explain.

Brand collaborations have been visible for longer than the latest expansion. Wowplus covered the SKIMS and Swarovski launch in New York in 2023. That dated example belongs to the company’s product and publicity history. It should not be confused with either the later financing round or the performance of a new permanent store.

What the 2026 product range adds

In its January 27 announcement, Nike described the Spring 2026 NikeSKIMS range as its first complete head-to-toe offering. The launch included the Rift Satin shoe alongside apparel and accessories. It also named LISA of Blackpink as the campaign’s central performer, connecting the product release with a familiar entertainment audience.

The announcement set February release dates across several regions, including Europe and the Middle East, with Australia and Korea on their own timelines. Those details provide a useful distinction between a global ambition and an announced market launch. They document where and when the company planned to offer that collection, without establishing sales totals or customer demand in each location.

A combined footwear and clothing range can also change how a brand presents itself. Instead of promoting a single garment in isolation, it can show several pieces worn together. Whether customers buy the whole look is a further question. Product breadth creates an opportunity for different baskets, but it also means more choices about stock, sizes, distribution and what to replenish.

Ownership is another part of the celebrity-business discussion. Our Snoop Dogg business portfolio feature separates different commercial roles rather than treating every brand association as identical. The same care applies here: founder, creative executive, shareholder and campaign participant describe different responsibilities, even when one person holds more than one of them.

Stores make the strategy visible

London provides a more recent physical example. Wallpaper’s August 2026 interview examined the design of the Regent Street flagship with Kardashian, while Vogue reported a September celebration at the newly opened store with co-founder Jens Grede. The coverage makes the retail direction tangible: customers can encounter the brand in a permanent space, rather than only through a screen or another retailer.

The featured photograph accompanying this article shows a different location: the New York storefront photographed in May 2026. It documents that shop’s exterior and signage, not the London opening or the NikeSKIMS campaign. Keeping the location and date clear is useful when several cities appear in the same expansion story, particularly when archive images travel with later business reports.

A storefront can show how a company wants to be experienced. It cannot, on its own, reveal the shop’s contribution to profit. To assess the commercial outcome, readers would need evidence such as comparable sales, operating costs and reliable financial reporting. An attractive opening or a busy launch event may be newsworthy, but it is only one view of an ongoing retail operation.

The financing release does not provide a complete current ownership table or Kardashian’s personal balance sheet. Multiplying a company valuation by an assumed stake would therefore add an unverified input to the calculation. Even a documented ownership percentage would still need context about the transaction, any restrictions and whether shares had actually been sold. Company value and readily available personal cash remain different measures.

The stronger story is the one the public record supports: SKIMS has raised expansion capital, developed its physical presence and extended a NikeSKIMS product range into new categories and markets. The next useful evidence will concern how those operations perform. Following that evidence gives readers more to work with than treating every new shop, campaign or valuation as a fresh estimate of a founder’s private fortune.
