The super bloom that we experienced here in California this year has inspired so many beautiful photo shoots, and even engagements, and we are totally soaking it all up! When fields of wildflowers suddenly burst forth after such a long dry season, well, it’s no wonder photographers like Michelle Roller were reaching for their cameras! In this case, Michelle also brought along Janet Tacy of Sandcastle Celebrations who pulled together an entire team to create some magic amongst the blooms.

Inspired by golden fields and the purity of nature, the team landed on a 70s-toned style + design to capture the idea of innocence + beauty. With the light just right and all the elements in place, everyone walked away eager to create a wildflower-themed wedding and we are so on board!! Let’s take a look at how this wild + free shoot by Michelle Roller all went down:

Fete and Quill created the groovy invitations and menus (wait until you see them!), utilizing hand-painted and hand-crafted vintage fabrics + textures.

This perfectly 70s dress? It’s from ASOS and (pro tip) it’s less than $200! Here are a few more that we wouldn’t mind wearing as we roamed through fields of wildflowers…

Just because you’re surrounded by an insanely gorgeous field of flowers doesn’t meant you should skimp on the handcrafted florals, according to Eden Floral. We’re loooooving these freshly-picked colors!

These acrylic dinner menus feature hand-pressed flowers from Fete and Quill‘s property! Aren’t they stunning?!

Got you Cover’d covered the tabletop + Scout Rentals furniture provided the perfect pieces for the outdoor setting.

Would you like a cookie with your poppies?? Papercake Events sweet treats captured the color theme of the era.

Dani Cepeda’s hair + makeup talents gave the bride a sweet + doe-eyed look which you’ll find us trying to duplicate all summer 🙂

How DREAMY, right?! These photos are just gorgeous with that glowing light!!

In a word…STUNNING! Thanks to the talented team for sharing this wild + carefree day with us!
