Sleek 70s Bride Inspired by Iconic Halston Fashion

1970's Minimalist Inspiration

Today’s inspiration was born from a mutual love for the sleek, streamlined, and iconic designs of Halston in the 1970s. Dresses created for discos, pants made for movement, and cuts of fabric that created shape and femininity for the modern woman, Halston’s designs made him famous across celebrity circles and NYC nightclubs. This shoot captures all of that and more; the natural elements mixed with bits of neon are enough to make us want to dance, not to mention the shoes…SO many good shoes!

Hazelwood Photo and Something Borrowed PDX imagined a laid-back, luxurious city wedding with clean styling and bold details. The Cleaners at the Ace Hotel in Portland provided the perfect blank space, where the team brought their vision to life!

Crank up those disco tunes and let’s have a look:

Portland Bloem totally killed it with the foliage and blooms!! The tropical palms on the table (and the wall—so cool!) add the perfect amount of drama.
