Nigeria news : Buhari mourns Akande

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday sent his condolences to the family and friends of Harry Akande.

The business mogul passed away at 77 on Saturday.

He was a presidential aspirant on the All People’s Party (APP) platform.

In a statement by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, Buhari joined Akande’s partners, staff, and beneficiaries in mourning the investor.

The Nigerian leader said Akande’s role in the nation’s development remains remarkable and commendable.

He hailed the deceased’s contribution to infrastructural development and provision of basic services to communities.

President Buhari prayed for the repose of his soul.
