Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, refused to acknowledge his own fans following a 4-0 defeat at Brentford on Saturday.
Ronaldo was told by Erik ten Hag’s assistant coach, Steve McClaren, to clap for the supporters after the game, but declined.

The 37-year-old lost possession in the build-up to the first goal and looked well off the pace, conceding possession several times.
Brentford went into the break four goals up and the second half was essentially a procession to the final whistle.

At the final whistle, Ronaldo was seen in conversation with McClaren who appeared to instruct him to walk over to the away fans and applaud them.
Ronaldo, however, according to the MEN, ignored McClaren and trudged down the tunnel while the rest of his teammates applauded their supporters.

The Portugal captain has been heavily linked with a summer move away from Old Trafford.
