Davido Reacts to Edo School Bullying After Disturbing Video Sparks Public Anger

When news broke online about the shocking bullying incident at a school in Edo State, many people were angry. But when Davido reacts to Edo school bullying, the conversation seemed to grow even louder. The popular Afrobeats star, whose real name is Davido (David Adeleke), did not hide how he felt after watching the viral video that has been spreading across social media.

Honestly, the video itself is difficult to watch. A group of students from Igbinedion Secondary School were seen attacking a fellow student while someone else recorded the whole scene. It’s the kind of footage that leaves people unsettled. Maybe even a little shocked that something like this could happen so openly.

Davido, who is known for speaking his mind online, reacted on the social platform X (Twitter). His response was short, emotional, and very direct.

“Fuckin animals… so disgusting,” he wrote.

It wasn’t a long statement, but the anger behind it was clear. And to be honest, many people online seemed to feel the same way.

A Disturbing Scene That Sparked Outrage

The video shows a situation that quickly turned violent. Two male students were seen repeatedly attacking another student who had already fallen to the ground.

At first, it almost looks like a regular school fight, the kind that sometimes breaks out among teenagers. But after a few seconds, it becomes obvious that this wasn’t just a quick argument or push-and-shove situation.

The victim was on the ground, clearly unable to defend himself. One of the attackers grabbed him by his school uniform and dragged him. Then, quite brutally, he stomped on the boy’s chest and head while the student cried out in pain.

That moment in particular seemed to disturb many viewers. It’s one thing to see a fight. It’s another thing entirely to watch someone continue attacking a person who can’t fight back.

Meanwhile, a third student was holding a phone and recording everything. Interestingly—or maybe sadly—that student could be heard begging the attackers to stop.

Which raises an uncomfortable question: if he knew it was wrong, why keep filming instead of stepping in?

Maybe he was scared. Maybe he didn’t know what to do. It’s hard to say. Situations like that can be confusing, especially for young people.

Still, once the video reached the internet, the reaction was immediate.

School Authorities Respond Quickly

As the video spread across social media, anger began building online. Parents, students, and ordinary viewers started calling for action. Some people demanded that the school discipline those involved. Others even questioned the safety of students in the school.

Eventually, the management of Igbinedion Secondary School stepped in.

According to reports, the two students responsible for the bullying were expelled from the school. The student who recorded the incident was suspended.

The decision created mixed reactions. Some people believed it was the right step. Others argued that the punishment for the student who recorded the video might be too harsh, since he was also heard asking the attackers to stop.

But perhaps the school wanted to send a strong message. Recording violence instead of reporting it, they might believe, should not be encouraged.

Either way, the situation had already caught the attention of law enforcement.

Police Launch Investigation

The Edo State Police Command also released a statement about the incident. Authorities confirmed that they were aware of the video and that an investigation had been ordered.

According to police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem, the Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, had directed officers in the area to look into the case thoroughly.

The police made their position very clear in the statement. Bullying, violence, or intimidation among students will not be tolerated. Anyone found responsible could face legal consequences.

That statement might sound formal, maybe even routine. But it reflects something important. Incidents like this are no longer seen as “just school problems.” They can become criminal matters.

And perhaps that shift is necessary.

Why Incidents Like This Hit People So Hard

There’s something about bullying videos that makes people react strongly. Maybe it’s because they remind us of our own school days. Almost everyone remembers seeing someone being picked on—or, if we’re honest, maybe being the target ourselves.

Watching a child cry out while others laugh or film the moment… it creates a feeling that’s hard to ignore.

In this particular case, Davido’s reaction captured that frustration in a raw way. His words were harsh, yes, but they echoed what many viewers were already thinking.

Celebrities commenting on social issues sometimes divide opinions. Some people think they should stay out of it. Others believe their voices help draw attention to serious problems.

Personally, I think moments like this show why public reactions matter. Without the video spreading online, would the situation have received this much attention? Maybe not.

The incident is now under investigation, and the students involved have already faced disciplinary action. Whether that will prevent similar incidents in the future is difficult to say.

But one thing is clear. Videos like this remind schools, parents, and communities that bullying isn’t a small issue. It can escalate quickly, and sometimes the damage lasts far beyond the moment captured on camera.
