Lindsay Lohan and Father Michael Lohan Reconcile After Years of Estrangement

In a surprising announcement, Lindsay Lohan and her father, Michael Lohan, have reconciled after years of estrangement. The troubled father-daughter relationship has been rocky for years, with Lindsay stopping all communication with her father in 2011. The two remained estranged for years, with Lindsay not even attending her father’s 2014 wedding to Kate Major. However, according to Michael, the pair has reconciled and have been on good terms for several years now.

Michael Lohan revealed the news of the reconciliation to TMZ in 2023, saying that he and Lindsay had put their past grievances behind them and were now in a good place. This positive development comes after Lindsay announced her engagement to businessman Bader Shammas early last year. Michael was quick to express his approval of Lindsay’s fiancé, telling Page Six that he was happy for his daughter and that he was ready to walk her down the aisle. “Lindsay got her life back when she met him, she’s been living a really happy and healthy life,” he said. “I’ve never seen Lindsay so in love.”

Despite the happy ending, the road to reconciliation wasn’t always smooth. Michael used the opportunity with Page Six to throw shade at Lindsay’s past flames, including her first celebrity boyfriend, Aaron Carter. He openly disapproved of Carter, saying he couldn’t be happier that his daughter had chosen to settle down with someone who doesn’t belong to the “Aaron Carters of the world.” He also had harsh words for Lindsay’s ex-fiancé, Egor Tarabasov, who assaulted her on a beach in Greece in 2016. “[He] isn’t the best guy,” Michael said.

Interestingly, Lindsay herself has had mixed feelings about her past relationships. She mourned Carter’s death in 2022, saying in an interview with ET that there was “just [a] lot of love there.” The revelation suggests that despite the rocky path, Lindsay still has some fondness for her past partners.

Despite the turbulent relationship between Lindsay and her father, their reconciliation is a positive development. It’s clear that Lindsay has come a long way since her days of partying and run-ins with the law. She’s now focused on her acting career and is set to make a comeback with her role in a new Netflix movie. Her engagement to Bader Shammas seems to have brought stability and happiness to her life, and it’s reassuring to see Michael Lohan supporting her choices as a father. With this reconciliation, Lindsay can look to the future with hope and positivity.
