Oh boy, have you heard about Cole and Dylan Sprouse’s childhood in Hollywood? They may have been adorable child actors back in the day, but guess what? They didn’t even want to be there in the first place!
According to a now-deleted Tumblr post, the Sprouse twins were basically forced into the entertainment industry at just eight months old by their momma bear, Melanie Wright. Why do you ask? Well, apparently they were flatly broke and needed some cash, pronto.

Cole spilled the beans even further on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, saying that their mom was a total artistic genius, but not so great with the dough. In fact, she was so financially irresponsible that when their dad got custody of them, they had pretty much-lost everything they had worked hard for in their young acting careers.
But wait, it gets even juicier! Cole also revealed that their mom had some serious mental health and addiction issues, which ultimately led to her “losing her mind.” Yikes, that’s some heavy stuff.
Despite all of this, Cole still chose to stick with acting as his career. Maybe it was because it was the only thing he knew how to do, or maybe it was a way to cope with the pain of his childhood. Either way, we’re glad he’s still in the game and killing it!

But don’t you worry, even with a less-than-ideal childhood, Cole and Dylan turned out to be pretty cool dudes? They’re known for their witty humor and infectious personalities, not to mention their killer acting skills.
In fact, Cole has gone on to become a bona fide heartthrob, starring in hit TV shows like “Riverdale” and movies like “Five Feet Apart.” And let’s not forget about his hilarious social media presence and love for photography. Talk about multi-talented!
Dylan, on the other hand, has pursued a slightly different path, delving into the world of mead-making and opening up his own brewery in Brooklyn, New York. Yeah, you read that right, mead-making! Who knew?

Despite their different interests, it’s clear that the Sprouse twins have remained close over the years. They even went to college together at New York University, proving that family always comes first for these two.
