Nigeria news : Oyo: Governor Makinde lists LGAs with new cases of COVID-19, Oyo State government has confirmed eleven new cases of coronavirus in the State.

The State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who confirmed the development said the State’s total cases now stand at 398.

The affected LGAs include: Ibadan South West (4), Lagelu (3), Ibadan North West (2), Oluyole (1) and Ibadan South East (1) Local Govt Areas.

He tweeted, “The COVID-19 confirmation tests for eleven suspected cases came back POSITIVE. The cases are from Ibadan South West (4), Lagelu (3), Ibadan North West (2), Oluyole (1) & Ibadan South East (1) Local Govt Areas.

“ So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 398.

“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if you have any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache and shortness of breath.”

Nigeria on Tuesday recorded its highest cases since its first case in March.

The country recorded a total of 663 cases on Tuesday.

This brings the total number of cases confirmed in the country to 13464

4206 have been discharged and 365 have died of the infection.
