Canadian singer Celine Dion has announced the cancellation of the remaining dates of her Courage World Tour due to health issues. The 53-year-old musician revealed via Instagram on May 26 that she has been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affects muscle movement.
In her statement, written in both English and French, Dion apologized to her fans and explained that she did not want to keep postponing tour dates without knowing exactly when she would be ready to perform again. She also assured her fans that they would receive full refunds for their tickets.

“Even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again,” Dion wrote. “I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%.”
Dion’s announcement came three months after her sister, Claudette Dion, spoke out about her condition, revealing that the singer had a team of specialists working hard to help her recover.
“I am confident that life will give her back what she gave because she is an extremely intelligent woman, very generous and talented and in love with life as well,” Claudette told Le Journal de Montreal.

Stiff-person syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder that affects the nervous system, causing muscle stiffness and spasms. The condition can also cause anxiety and difficulty with movement.
Despite the setback, Dion remained positive in her statement, assuring her fans that she was not giving up and that she could not wait to return to the stage.
“I want you all to know, I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” she wrote.
Dion’s Courage World Tour began in September 2019 and was scheduled to conclude in September 2021. The tour was in support of her latest album, also titled “Courage.”
The singer has been a global icon for over three decades, with hits such as “My Heart Will Go On” and “The Power of Love.” She has sold over 200 million records worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards, among numerous other accolades.
Fans of the singer expressed their support and well wishes on social media, with many sending messages of love and encouragement.
