Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has hit out at defender Joe Gomez for his shambolic performance against Napoli.
Carragher said Gomez had one of the worst games of his career after Napoli thrashed Liverpool 4-1 in the UEFA Champions League group stage encounter on Wednesday night.
Gomez had an awful game at the heart of Liverpool’s defense alongside Virgil van Dijk and was taken off by manager Jurgen Klopp at half-time.

Liverpool was completely dominated by Napoli and was down 3-0 by half-time.
Napoli netted their fourth of the night early in the second half, while Liverpool forward Luis Diaz scored a mere consolation in the 49th minute for the Premier League giants.
After the game, Carragher said Klopp was right to take Gomez off during the tie, adding that the players defending was shocking.

“I mean, the defending is shocking. Gomez just had one of the worst halves of football he is possibly ever going to have,” Carragher told CBS Sports.
“That is why he had to come off at half-time. It should have been four or five at half-time, not just three.”
