The wedding design was inspired by Sunstone Villa itself. Our bride wanted to stay true to the colors, design and feel of the Tuscan inspired mansion. Additionally, she wanted to make sure to bring in touches of Santa Ynez, California’s wine valley to the design as well.
The color palette was very classic in hues of whites, ivories and bright greens with touches of gold which brought out the sunstone color of the building. Our bride wanted to stick to the vintage classic look of the villa. To achieve this we brought in elements that could be found in the countryside of Tuscany in our design elements from table top to furnishings.
The tables were adorned with crisp white linen tablecloths, hemstitched napkins, brass candlesticks, antiques inspired dishes, hand forged but modern looking utensils in gold to give it an updated look. The floral centerpieces looked like they were plucked from a painting by Cezanne. The centerpieces incorporated lush florals in garden roses and ranunculus with mixed textural foliages. Lemon leaves and olive branches overflowed from the centerpieces and created a dream runner down the feasting tables where vintage brass candlesticks were incorporated to give each table a grand look. The menu incorporated very rustic and modern flavors from liver pate crostinis, to short ribs with kimchi. Every aspect of the evening was curated to make sure that the journey from start to finish was enjoyed by all.
