Rustic Meets Eclectic at this Greenhouse Wedding in New York

New York Herb Garden Wedding

Tiffany + Nicky wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of their home in NYC, so they dashed out to Long Island, New York, to a place brimming with beauty. Enter in the Peconic River Herb Farm, close to where the bride, grew up… And we haven’t even mentioned the coolest part — the venue has its own gorgeous greenhouse!

Tiffany shares At first we wanted a fall wedding, but the second we stepped foot at the herb farm we couldn’t imagine a more perfect time than early summer. The farm had a natural beauty and a relaxed feel and we wanted exactly the same vibe for our wedding. We’re a laid-back couple so we think it reflected us pretty well.

Ready to sit back, relax, + enjoy all the feels of their day? Let’s take a look at all the details captured by Ryan Flynn Photography!

All that glorious greenery…

To add a vibrant pop to the day, Tiffany’s ladies wore a collection of coral + neutral-toned dresses. When paired with the florals by Calyx Flower Design, we think this is a winning combination!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Tiffany: Walking down the aisle was when it truly hit me. I thought the first look would have been the moment I felt it, but, even though we had already seen each other, even though I rehearsed the whole routine both in person and in my head, I just lost it the moment the music cued and I started walking down to him.

Nicky: It wasn’t until after our vows were spoken, our rings were put on, and we kissed. I’ll always remember walking up the aisle, arm in arm with Tiffany, and the music just overwhelmed me with such joy, that I bawled with a smile. I felt like that was the moment everything exploded for me.

Can we talk about Tiffany’s dress for a moment? She opted for a light gray, off-the-shoulder gown by Sarah Seven and HOLY SMOKES. Isn’t it incredible?!

Tiffany shares We also couldn’t be more grateful for all the help we got from our family and friends — one of our friends was our officiant which made it that more special, another friend killed it as our DJ, and everyone helped with decorating and setting up the day before. Picking a date near summer solstice helped us maximize the time with a longer day.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Focus on the important things — a great photographer, a great caterer, and having the people you love there with you. And be practical: find a balance with what you envision and what you can actually do (or afford!). At the end of the day, the wedding is about you as a couple and keeping it simple means less can go wrong.
