Teresa Giudice of The Real Housewives of New Jersey fame may be considering leaving her husband, Joe Giudice, should he be deported to Italy.
People magazine reports that Teresa Giudice told her fellow reality TV castmates at their show’s season 9 reunion that she and Joe are considering breaking up. It all reportedly depends on if Joe is deported to Italy following his time in prison, where he is currently serving a sentence for mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud. He’s expected to be released on March 14, 2019.
A source told People magazine that, at the reunion’s taping in early January 2019, Teresa said that — if Joe is sent to Italy, where he was born — “we’d go our separate ways.”
She allegedly told Real Housewives reunion host Andy Cohen that she and her daughters — 18-year-old Gia, 14-year-old Gabriella, 12-year-old Milania, and 9-year-old Audriana — would not move to Italy to be with Joe. The insider stated, “Teresa told Andy that if Joe gets deported, she’s not going,” adding, “She said that she and Joe had talked about it over the phone, and that he understood.”
Another source told People that Teresa, who previously denied the possibility that she and Joe would divorce, didn’t “really express any sadness” about the potential breakdown of her marriage. Instead, the insider noted, “She just focused instead on the girls. It was very matter of fact.”
Of course, Teresa reportedly still wants Joe, their kids, and herself to “remain together as a family.”
Initially following news of Joe’s deportation in October 2018, Teresa, who completed an 11-month sentence for fraud in December 2015, appeared upset on social media and revealed she was “taking it one day at a time.”
Teresa and Joe’s eldest daughter, Gia, took to Instagram with a lengthy post to her followers, sharing that her father “is no threat to society” and that “the United States is the only country he knows.”
The RHONJ reunion special is reportedly scheduled to air in February.
