The couple got married in September 2020. Deborah shared lovely photos from her maternity shoot on her Instagram page and the testimony of her child’s conception and delivery. She wrote

”In September 2020, my sister @toluijogun hosted “For this Child, We Pray” on @rtwni. She was so adamant that God had laid it on her heart to have one of these prayer rallies before the end of the year.

As part of the leadership in RTWNI, I had been involved in many of these rallies and had heard numerous amazing testimonies of how God showed up for women. However, it wasn’t a rally I felt I could relate to…as I wasn’t at a phase in my life where I wanted a child.

However, the September Rally in 2020 felt different. I was newly married and felt God saying to me, “you know I’ll give you a child if you ask me for one.” I felt my faith rising. I didn’t just want to attend the rally as a leader this time but also as someone believing in God for a child. So I sowed a seed into the rally. I remember not having any expectations or timelines. I still wanted to enjoy the phase of being newly married, so my prayer was simple, that God would do it at His own time.

Our theme at @thefountainoflifechurch in 2020 was “Our year of a new song.” Two months after the rally, I woke up with a new song in my heart. I had never heard the song before and can’t even tell you how it goes. The song lasted only for a minute. I remember it being a song of praise and thanksgiving. At that moment, I knew I was pregnant.

Oluwa ti use o!
Edumare s’oro mi d’ayo
Olowo ori mi
Erujeje
A’lewi l’ese.

Interpretation:

God has done it!
God has turned my mourning into joy!
The owner of my head,
The One that says, and it comes to pass.

This was one of the few songs God gave me in my last trimester, and it became my pregnancy anthem. God communicated with me a lot through songs during my pregnancy. I found these songs reassuring. I knew God was with me.

Our precious little girl is here now, and her delivery proved that she had brought a new level of God’s favor into our home.

My pregnancy is truly a testament to God’s love and how He truly gives good things to His children. We played “Favour like a Shield” by @toluijogun as we welcomed our baby girl into this world. A special thank you to Dr. Adesanya, Sis Bunmi, and Sis Ronke at St Mary’s Hospital.”
