Herdsmen strike in Benue, kill three, few hours after Osinbajo’s depature

No fewer than three individuals have been killed and a number of other individuals displaced after suspected herdsmen attacked another community in Benue State.

The attack came barely 24 hours after Vice President Yemi Osinbajo left the state.

A resident, who gave his identify as Joe, said three folks have been shot and killed whereas a number of homes have been additionally torched throughout the attack

He gave names of the victims as, Bem Torjem, Apedzan Chia and Ikpuku Peven of Tse Koya.

“The affected settlements are Tse-Mue, Torkaa, Mgbakpa, Torjem and Ifer villages.

“They came at a time farmers have been on their way to the farms. There is palpable fear as everybody has now abandoned the area,” he said.
