Manchester United players don’t want striker Mason Greenwood reintegrated back into the changing room.
The squad has fears it could derail their progress, according to the UK Sun.
Mason had attempted rape and assault charges dropped against him this week.
However, the 21-year-old is still facing an internal club investigation.
Greenwood is still included in United’s Premier League squad list, having been named among their U-21 players at the start of the season.
A source said: “The players are open to him returning to the team but the scrutiny could be massively distracting.
“The dressing room is the happiest it has been for ages and no one wants to rock the boat.”
United are in fine form under new manager Erik ten Hag and sit third on the Premier League table following a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Greenwood’s last appearance for United was in January 2022 and he has a contract with the club until 2025.
