So many couples are drawn by the allure of Palm Springs in all it’s beauty, so it’s super fun for us to show how different personalities can inspire a totally unique day under the dessert sun! Rachel + Ben brought a certain sophistication to their classy union, calling on a soft color palette, modern design elements, and a fashion sense that easily brings the word, “regal,” to mind!
Rachel tells us: Our main inspiration was the Korakia Pensione itself. It’s such a magical place that makes you feel like you’re far, far away in the Mediterranean. We wanted everyone to feel like they were across the globe. The whole inspiration for the wedding is very much based on our personal aesthetic which I would like to think is sophisticated bohemian, if you saw our home it reflects our wedding completely.
Jenny Smith & Co. captured the photos from the day—let’s have a look!
Love this sleek invitation suite from Minted!
Ooooo hello, perfect. We all have The Bloom of Time to thank for this gorgeous creation!
Isn’t she a vision? Rachel wore a gown by Odylyn the Ceremony with a custom cape and a Jennifer Behr hairpiece. We hear Rachel is a Game of Thrones fan and she sure does remind us of a certain fierce dragon queen with that regal cape and blonde hair!
Meanwhile, Ben suited up in a suave look from Nordstrom.
We’re mildly obsessed with the Korakia Pensione…!
Flowers in the fountain?! Yes, please.
The most memorable moment for me was just being with everyone I love so much, especially my mom & brother. My Dad had passed away just 3 months prior to our wedding. I obviously wish that he had been there, but having my brother walk me down the aisle was very special to me after everything we’d been through together.
Ben just says the whole thing! It really was an amazing wedding & we wish we could relive it!
These bridesmaids dresses are so dreamy! And notice those mini “capes” cascading down the back?? They are also by Odylyn the Ceremony, specifically, the Sparrow dress in Twilight 🙂
Processional: Follow You Follow Me by Genesis (This was also Rachel’s parents’ wedding song!)
Recessional: Fields of Gold by The Police
First Dance: Wild is the Wind by Nina Simone + David Bowie
How happy do they look?! Love this moment!
Can’t decide. We’ll have both 🙂
Planks and Patina is a Palm Springs go-to for beautiful furniture + decor rentals!
These moon charms by The Great Lakes Goods are the perfect place-setting favors!
Love this head table! And such a great idea to keep the floral runners low—no peaking around to chat with the person across the table!
Honestly, we got everything done very early & I would highly recommend that! It doesn’t feel so stressful later on. Also, I would say a day of coordinator is a necessity if you do not want to be worrying about the details on your own wedding day, which I did not want to do since I planned everything myself! In my personal opinion, you can get what you want on a budget you just have to research. We stuck to our budget perfectly & I think the wedding looked much more expensive than it was!
Let’s get a close up on those rings by Jennifer Meyer, shall we? *swoon*
And, of course, what’s a beautiful wedding without a beautiful cake? Matchbox Kitchen baked up this sweet creation!
Congrats, you two! Such a beautiful day and we’re honored to share all the pretty details 🙂
