The 2018 Creative Arts Emmy Awards have come and gone.
On Saturday, Sept. 8 and Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, the 70th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. With a number of celebs attending, including This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown and the hosts of Queer Eye, the evening celebrated the year’s artistic and technical achievements in television.
Over the course of the weekend, Game of Thrones and Saturday Night Live led the pack with seven wins each, while Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and Jesus Christ Superstar Live followed closely behind with five awards each. Meanwhile, singer-songwriter John Legend and fellow JCS producers Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber had a special reason to celebrate after taking home the trophy for Outstanding Variety Special, as the win made each a member of the coveted EGOT club.
Just ahead of the 70th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which will be hosted by SNL stars Michael Che and Colin Jost on Monday, Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC, highlights from the Creative Arts Emmys will air next Saturday, Sept. 15, at 8 p.m. EST on FXX. While we wait to tune into both shows, below is the complete list of this weekend’s nominees and winners (via Entertainment Tonight).
