The “Stay With Me” singer confessed that they were in a relationship during an appearance on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” after Degeneres asked if Smith was single. They responded, “No, I’m not, which is crazy.” The singer went on to share they were “happy” in their relationship, although they never name-dropped Flynn, specifically. Not long after the interview, Flynn made their relationship Instagram official.

In January 2018, Flynn and Smith made their first public appearance together at the 2018 Grammy awards. According to Us Weekly, the couple didn’t walk the carpet but kept things friendly inside the venue.
