Ben Davies says Tottenham are “very confident” they can defeat Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Spurs progressed to the last four with a 3-0 victory over Swansea on Saturday.

Victory over Jose Mourinho’s United would mean Spurs progress to the FA Cup final for the first time since defeating Nottingham Forest 2-1 in 1991.

After losing out to Chelsea at the same stage last season, Davies says he and his team-mates they can go one better when they meet United at their temporary Wembley home on April 21.

“I was a bit late finding out the draw as I was on the flight when it was made,” Davies said.

“It will be a bit strange (in the away dressing room), but we’ve played there enough this year that it’s going to feel relatively like a home game.

“We played well against United earlier in the season (2-0 home win on January 31), so we’re very confident going into the game.”
