Something that can be very frustrating about “model-off-duty” style is that oftentimes, these women get credit for “nailing” or “perfecting” a certain look when really, they’re supermodels whose killer bodies are doing 99 percent of the work. (See: Athleisure.)
But what Kendall Jenner wore to celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday is actually a look we can all try at home and not worry about looking like you forgot to get dressed after spin class! (Seriously, has anyone not featured in a Balmain ad pulled off athleisure?) Jenner wore a denim dress from Stella McCartney, which goes beyond basic status thanks to an oversize pocket and a flattering wrap detail. She rounded out the casual look with a pair of beat-up white tennis shoes and Le Specs’s sell-out cat-eye lenses from its collab with Adam Selman.
What’s most refreshing about this look is that it doesn’t feel like Jenner was styled before heading out with her family; it’s totally conceivable that she pulled these things out of her closet and put them together on her own. Stars! They’re just like us! (Except they look like a god damn fashion editorial when they wear head-to-toe athleisure! I will never let this go!!!)
