Founder Soccer4peace Foundation and Youth activist Ozuem Esiri Onyebolise continues to call for peace as Innocent villagers

Injustice in Okuoma Community

Founder Soccer4peace Foundation and Youth activist Ozuem Esiri Onyebolise continues to call for peace as Innocent villagers have continued to live in bushes and forest like animals because of fear of the Nigerian Army who has continued to lay a siege in the Okuoma Community.

He is also soliciting to the federal government to institute a judicial commission of inquiry into the incident or ask Delta State government to set one up.

How long will Innocent civilians, become displaced people, in their state and Country. There is a need to return back to their homes in Okuoma Community. It is sad to say the majority of the houses in the village have been completely destroyed and razed down by fire , which the Nigeria  Army has denied doing.

As an advocate for Peace with other peace Ambassadors, we strongly condemn this killings and are asking for peace and orderliness to be restored back to the community, so that the people who are now displaced persons in other communities can return home.

”What is happening at Okuama is a tragic instance of scapegoating intended to destroy an entire community by a military that abandoned the rules of engagement with citizens as enshrined in global best practices. The military has turned its arsenal against the citizens it should be protecting. Okuama has become victim of state violence.

Also questions which has been raised should be answered and investigations carried out as to the cause of the death of the soldiers and those truly who are involved in all of these so that justice can be served to the right persons and innocent lives and properties saved.

He also raised suggestions to the federal government that villagers should be allowed to retrieve the corpses of their dead, an order for the military to vacate the community and handover suspects to police.

As an advocate for Peace, and President and Founder of Soccer for Peace Foundation, we continue to fight for the rights of the common man in Okuoma Community and soliciting for peace to be restored in this community.

It is time to call the military to order
